HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT DIETETIC CONSULTATIONS?

  • Every client requires an initial consultation where they can expect a comprehensive and personalised approach to their nutrition and performance needs. This session typically lasts one hour and can be conducted over the phone or via Zoom for convenience.  text goes here

    1. In-Depth Assessment: We will gather detailed information about your current dietary habits, training regimen, and performance and aesthetic goals (if relevant). 

    1. Review of your Data: We will make recommendations to obtain blood tests, DEXA scans and metabolic testing (if applicable) to gain insights into body composition and nutritional status, enabling more tailored recommendations. 

    2. Individualised Meal Plan: Based on the assessment and test results, the dietitian will create a customised meal plan that aligns with your goals, ensuring optimal nutrient intake for performance, recovery and optimal health. This takes into consideration your medical history and any other applicable information such as cultural preferences, allergies, intolerances etc. 

    3. Supplement Recommendations: If necessary, the dietitian will provide evidence-based supplement recommendations to support the your training and performance, considering your specific needs and objectives.

    4. Goal Setting and Strategy Development: Together, we will set realistic nutrition goals and develop actionable strategies to effectively implement the meal plan, whether it be for elite performance, or for your personal goals. 

      This initial consultation lays the groundwork for a collaborative relationship, with ongoing support to help the athlete achieve their peak performance.

  • Review consultations are imperative in helping us determine how you are tracking. In these sessions we monitor your progress, adjust your nutritional strategies and ensure your momentum is where it needs to be in relation to your health and performance goals. This session typically lasts 30mins. 

  • Yes, we offer specific competition day plans tailored to each athlete's sport and individual needs. These plans focus on optimising nutrition, hydration, and timing to enhance performance on the day of competition. We take into account factors such as the athlete's training regimen, preferences, and any unique considerations for their sport to ensure they are fully prepared to perform at their best.

  • Yes, we work with a diverse range of athletes, from combat sports to Olympic weightlifting, utilising an evidence-based approach to help them make weight safely, with ongoing support. We provide rehydration protocols and nutritional strategies that are carefully timed to optimise performance. Our plans can be customized for both professional and amateur athletes, accommodating various weigh-in periods.

  • No, we work with a broad spectrum of clients. In addition to elite athletes, we also assist recreational athletes, those preparing for smaller competitions, and individuals aiming for goals like weight loss, aesthetic improvement, or overall health optimisation.

  • Yes, you can claim your dietetics appointment on health insurance if your policy covers dietetic services. All of our dietitians are accredited, so as long as your insurance includes dietitian consultations under your extras or ancillary cover, you'll be able to claim the appointment. Be sure to check with your provider for specific details on coverage and rebates.

  • Yes, all meal plans will take into consideration your cultural or personal preferences and will be individually tailored to you.

  • All appointments can be rescheduled within 24 hours' notice. If they are rescheduled within this timeframe, no charges will be made. If it is after this timeframe, you will forfeit your deposit. 

  • We work with a diverse range of athletes, including those in weight category sports, team sports, individual sports, endurance sports, strength and conditioning, as well as the recreational athlete. 

  • If you have any recent blood tests or DEXA scans, please bring them to your appointment. If not, we can gather all necessary information during the appointment and provide guidance on information we may require from you. 

  • The number of appointments needed to see results varies depending on your individual goals, current health status, and the plan we create together. Some clients notice changes after a few sessions, while others may require ongoing support over a longer period to achieve more complex or long-term goals. Typically, follow-up appointments help to track progress and make necessary adjustments to your plan.
