Initial Consultations
You’ll meet with your APG dietitian for a 60-minute online consultation delivered via our in-house app. We take the time to understand you, reviewing your medical and family history, training demands, nutrition intake and preferences, lifestyle factors, and any available body composition, blood markers and DEXA data. Where relevant, your dietitian will also advise on appropriate testing to support your health and performance goals.
A clear, practical plan of action is developed during the session, aligned with your lifestyle and expectations. Your individualised nutrition plan will be provided after your initial appointment, typically within around three business days or as appropriate to your individual situation.
02
Review Consultations
You’ll meet with your APG dietitian for a 30-minute* review consultation delivered online via our in-house app. These sessions focus on checking in, assessing progress and refining your existing nutrition strategies as your training, lifestyle and goals evolve.
Reviews may include adjustments to energy intake, macronutrient distribution, supplementation, fuelling and recovery strategies, guided by your feedback, performance outcomes and any updated information available. Where appropriate, your dietitian may also recommend further testing or data collection to support ongoing progress.
Review consultations are designed to maintain alignment between your nutrition, training demands and long-term health, while providing structured, ongoing support.
*We also offer extended 45-minute reviews, designed for clients with more complex needs, multiple goals, or those requiring a deeper, more comprehensive review.

This service includes an online consultation of up to 30 minutes prior to your event to discuss key details such as timing, logistics, environment, and performance demands. Following this review, your dietitian will provide a comprehensive written nutrition plan specific to your competition. To allow adequate preparation time, we recommend booking at least one week before your event.

Questions about working with APG?
1. Do I need to be an elite athlete to work with APG?
No. While we work with elite and professional athletes, we also support high-performing individuals across all levels; including recreational athletes, corporate professionals and individuals managing health or medical concerns alongside training. Our care is always tailored to your performance goals, health needs and lifestyle.
2. Do you only provide sports nutrition support?
No. APG provides both performance-focused and medical nutrition care. Alongside sports nutrition, our team supports clients with a range of health and medical considerations, including hormonal health, gastrointestinal issues, low energy availability, metabolic health and recovery from illness or injury. Where relevant, performance and medical nutrition are integrated to ensure outcomes are effective and sustainable.
3. What sports and activities do you work with?
We work across a wide range of sports and performance contexts, including professional and semi-professional team sports, CrossFit, HYROX, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, endurance sports, track and field, aesthetic sports such as ballet and figure skating, combat sports and weight-category sports. We also support individuals whose primary goal is elite health optimisation rather than competition.
4. What’s the difference between memberships, individual consultations and competition plans?
Memberships provide structured, ongoing support, combining performance and medical nutrition care with regular reviews, accountability and access to additional services. We offer two tiers, Core and Elevate, depending on the level of ongoing support and access required.
Individual consultations are one-off or ad hoc sessions designed to address specific performance, health or medical nutrition concerns without an ongoing commitment.
Competition plans are event-specific nutrition and fuelling strategies developed when required and discussed during consultations.
5. How do I know which option is right for me?
An initial consultation is the best place to start. Your dietitian will assess your goals, training demands and health considerations, and help determine whether ongoing membership support, targeted consultations or competition planning is most appropriate.
6. Do I need to come prepared with blood tests, DEXA scans or medical data?
No. If you already have recent results, we’re happy to review them. If not, your dietitian will guide you through the appropriate testing as part of our standard care process.
At APG, we encourage all clients to undergo comprehensive medical testing to support safe, ethical and effective nutrition care. Blood testing forms a core part of our approach, and DEXA scans are required for athletes competing in weight-category sports to ensure health and performance are appropriately monitored.
7. How long does it take to receive my nutrition plan?
Your individualised nutrition plan is typically provided within three (3) business days following your initial consultation, unless otherwise advised.
8. Do you provide meal plans and fuelling strategies specific to my sport or health condition?
Yes. Recommendations are fully personalised and may include daily nutrition support, training-day fuelling, recovery strategies, competition preparation, or medical nutrition management where relevant. Plans are tailored to your goals, preferences and clinical considerations.
9. Do you offer support with supplements, blood tests or DEXA scans?
Yes. We review and interpret blood tests and DEXA scans where appropriate and provide evidence-led supplement guidance. For drug-tested athletes, we prioritise conservative, ethical recommendations and third-party tested products only.
10. Are your services only available in Australia?
No. All services are delivered online via our in-house app, allowing us to work with clients nationally and internationally. We currently support athletes and high-performing individuals across Australia, Europe, the Middle East, the UK and the United States.
11. Do I have to commit to a long-term membership?
No. Memberships operate on a rolling basis with a one-month notice period for cancellation. We also offer individual consultations and short-term support options for those who do not require ongoing care or do not want ongoing commitment.
12. Do you work with teams, organisations or brands?
Yes. APG provides team education sessions, performance and health resource development, and independent advisory services for organisations and supplement companies / brands. All work is structured around evidence-based practice and ethical performance care.
13. I still have questions, what’s the best next step?
Booking an initial consultation is the best way to start. Your dietitian will help guide you toward the most appropriate support based on your performance goals, health needs and lifestyle.
